YESHA Farms
Yehuda and Shomron (“Yesha”) consists of approximately 150 Jewish communities @ 600,000 Jews. The geographic area is 2,180 square miles and is covered with limestone hills up to 3,000 feet. Communities sit along the hills and valleys. It is rugged terrain. The Arabs in the region number two million people in hundreds of villages and towns.
Before October 7, 2023, there were about 60 Jewish farms scattered throughout Yesha. These farms were a cluster of small buildings at the most…some of them were single families in a trailer. These brave families are pioneers seeking a quiet simple life.
Since October 7th, 160 new farms have been established throughout Yehuda, Shoron and the Jordan Valley. These farmers saw what happened when Hamas terrorists broke through the border fence in Gaza, and they seek to prevent similar attacks here in Yesha.
The farmers realize by living on the outskirts of the main communities, the Arabs think twice about encroaching. And this method is working. The main Jewish communities are safer this way. These small farms are acting as security barriers. We want to help them.
These farms are in hard-to-reach places. Some don’t even have roads. We are now going to each farm, sending their location and family details to the IDF and MDA.
On your next trip to Israel, we will take you to these farms so you can meet today’s pioneers!
Our project “YESHA Farms” has launched.
We aim to: distribute an Emergency Medical BLS Kit to each farm: $1540
Defibrillator: $2245
Train the farmers in first aid: $280
No farm will be left alone.
